About the University

Heidelberg University, located in Tiffin, Ohio is a vibrant learning community of actively engaged students and faculty. Established in 1850 by the German Reformed Church (now United Church of Christ), the University embraces the spirit of free inquiry championed by its religious affiliation. Our approximately 1,300 traditional undergraduates from all over the country, as well as approximately 400 graduate degree candidates, go on to lead lives of purpose with distinction.
It's no wonder Heidelberg has been noted by several important college guidebooks, including U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges 2009."

School summary

Heidelberg, founded in 1850, is a church-affiliated, liberal arts college. Its 110-acre campus is located in Tiffin, 45 miles southeast of Toledo. Several campus buildings are listed in the National Register of Historic Places; campus architecture includes Greek Revival, Victorian Gothic, modern English Gothic, and international styles.
