It's an entirely new approach to learning about colleges. With this tool, you can see what colleges are saying on Twitter (status updates), uploading to Youtube (videos), and posting to Flickr (images). We call it Firehose because, once you're done with it, you probably won't be thirsty for more information.

It brings all the great college content into one place so you don't have to run around the web trying to find it.

From the College
This means that it's coming from an account that is associated with the school. It might be from a student organization, a specific department, or it could be the school's official account.

From the Web
This pulls content based on the school name. So if there is a youtube video about Yale (perhaps uploaded by a student), we pull it into the Firehose stream. It searches for content based on the name of the school. Sometime's it's relevant. Sometime's it's not. You'll definitely find some gems in here.

Right now we only have a couple hundred schools set up. But more schools will be added shortly. Stay tuned.
