I am looking to major in actuarial science. I have received past info from you guys that shows actuarial science at Mines. What else can you say about pursuing actuarial science here? This looks like a great school and I've already started to apply.

I saw that there was a major in Economics and that it was B.S., so does that mean I could get a minor in International Political Economy because it is under humanities and the arts, not science and math? If not, I still love the economics program here.

Fiske Descriptions

The preeminent technical institute in the Mountain West. Twice as big as New Mexico Tech, but one-tenth the size of Texas Tech. Best known for mining-related fields but strong in many areas of engineering. Men outnumber women three to one, and Golden provides little other than a nice view of the mountains.

School summary

The Colorado School of Mines, founded in 1874, is a public college of engineering and science studies. Its 373-acre campus is located in Golden, 20 miles west of Denver.
