I really love the idea of an interdisciplinary major, but I'm a little concerned about what exactly it means to employers. I don't want to end up getting a degree that won't even be relevant to my later career. What can you tell me about how my degree would be viewed by employers and how useful it will be when trying to find a job?

Dear Annabel, here's a link to our Alumni Profile page. These can give you an idea of what you can do with your Human Ecology degree. Also, about 55% of our graduates choose to continue their education in masters and doctorate degrees. To use more definite fields, most of our alumni in the past have concentrated in Educatino, Science, Art & Design, Business, Social Work amongst other areas.

Does your school have a baseball team. thanks
      • 1410
Hey Austin, We do not have an official baseball team, but you could definitely start pick-up baseball games on the front lawn. We have regular games of pick-up soccer, frisbee, and cricket on the front lawn, and basketball and waterpolo at the YMCA. Our only official team sport occurs annually at the National Tobogganing Championship in Camden Maine in which we send several teams of 4 to compete for COA in a toboggan race!

        How Big is the campus
        • 84
Hi Devonte! The main coastal campus is 35 acres and is a five minute walk to Bar Harbor. I can see the ocean from my office. :) We also have two farms, Beech Hill Farm (81 acres) and Peggy Rockefellar farms (117 acres) and two island research stations on remote Maine islands. That might sound like our school is pretty big, but our student body size is only 350. There's a lot of space to breathe compared to much bigger universities. :)
