Claremont McKenna, founded in 1946, is a private, liberal arts college. It is one of the Claremont Colleges, a group of five undergraduate colleges and one graduate school with adjoining campuses and shared facilities and services. Its 56-acre campus is located at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, 35 miles east of Los Angeles.
