I am Haitian-American that spent my childhood in Haiti. Following the earthquake on January 12, 2010, I came back to the U.S. During my free time I enjoy Anime and Manga. My goal is to become a pediatrician. With hard work and help from everyone, I believe that I will achieve my goal.

Irvington High School Girls Varsity Tennis Team, Second Singles.
"Cala Fils is an extraordinary person who has the potential to do anything. On the IHS tennis team, Cala played second singles. She is a well-rounded teammate and student. She has helped the team in winning the conference with her great attitude and great love for the game and her teammates. There was a lot of times when we all wanted to give up but with Cala's buoyant personality and attitude we all would give up on the thought of giving up. There was never a day where she was never excited to be out on the courts playing tennis. She would always encourage us to work hard and we will succeed whether it is tennis or school. Cala is a tremendous person who works well with others and a great motivator. You can never have a dull moment when she is around."

"Having known Cala on a personal basis before actually working with her in the Scholars Program allowed me to see the potential that lived within her. The minute I met her, I was assured that she would fit right into the program. Upon her entry as a new member she was immediately interactive with the new faces she was to become accustomed to seeing every Thursday. I truly believe that because of all the wonderful clubs, organizations, and programs that Cala has joined has given her the opportunity to blossom into an extraordinary young woman. I would recommend her for any scholarship, college or work study program because I am assured that her people skills, professionalism and demeanor is compatible with any higher learning institute or business forum."

"Cala Fils has just the right amount of determination and zest for life that keeps her going everyday. There has never been a time when I've interacted with her and my day was dampened. She is truly a pleasant individual to work with and throughout her two years in Student Council she has proved to myself and the rest of the Executive Board that she is a dedicated member. Being that I am the Secrertary and keep all records intact, I must say that within these two years she has probably only missed one meeting. Any other missed meetings was due to her dedication to Tennis which might I add she was wonderful at. Nonetheless, Miss. Cala Fils is an amazing asset to Student Council and always has great ideas running through her mind on how to improve our school."
