The best summary of who I am is my Myers-Briggs type; I'm an INTJ, which is--coincidentally--a really nerdy, esoteric way to say that I'm geeky, incurably type A, and I have a peculiar sense of humor (Kathy Griffin + Ron White + Jim Gaffigan + Tina Fey... Louis Black if I'm having a bad day). I am fascinated by the way things--especifically the living sort--work. For better or worse, I would prefer reading articles on the genetics of social awkwardness or the cerebral processing of color and shape over going to parties or watching sports. Studying those preferences? Yes.
Ich bin die uebergeek.
Extracurricular
- Independent Art-ing
- I was essentially raised on Primacolors like normal kids are raised on PB&Js. The style and subjects change, but it's always comforting to be able to pick up a pencil and make sense of everything. Having said that, being a perfectionist can--and often doe
- Quiz Bowl Team
- I spend my lunches with a bunch of my endearingly geeky peers, answering (or wishing I were answering) questions covering a wide array of topics. I just wish I started earlier!
- Debate Team
- I spent enough time working on cases and competing at tournaments to call this a job, except that the money was out-bound. Admittedly, I spent more time in schools hosting tournaments than my own and my jokes have only degenerated into esoteric mush becau
- German Club
- I competed at Regional and State German Competitions (individually ranked 5th and 12th, respectively) and attend German speaking dinners!
- Volunteered with Mixed Breed Rescue
- I have helped rehabilitate many of Mixed Breed Rescue's dogs and have found homes for more than forty.
- Volunteered at Art Camps
- I assisted instructors in camps for ages 4+ by giving the campers personalized attention and helping cater the activities to the age group.
- Minor decoy in Minor Stings
- I assist Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) policemen in their efforts to discover and prosecute alcohol sales to minors in completely transparent 'minor stings'. Basically, if people are selling me booze, they've exceeded 'negligence'.
- Secretarial Work in the Legal Devision at the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission
- I copied and filed licenses as well as answered phones for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission's legal division.

- I make and sell t-shirts with my own silkscreened designs. I handle all parts of the business myself and offer personalized service at economical (but still profitable) prices.
- Dog Whisperer
- Self-Employed
- 1997 to
- I walk, feed, play with, train, and otherwise offer assistance to dog (recently expanded to include cat) owners. I have built a reliable client base solely by word-of-mouth and am the exclusive dog-sitter and dog-walker for a number of my neighbors.
