I devote my life to family, friends, church, music, and helping others. I spend a lot of my time playing piano, and I am currently trying to master the guitar. I have been playing piano for ten years, but classical music does not use up all of my time, surprisingly. I also spend a lot of time listening to music of pretty much all genres.
I am a Christian, and love spending time with my church friends and helping others on my own or through the church. I have had the opportunity to volunteer in many places, which I have enjoyed every minute of!
Extracurricular
- Private piano lessons
- I have been taking private piano lessons for ten years. I have been involved in numerous competitive events and placing 2nd in the CFMTA event. I have also been involved in non-competitive events including the National Federation Festival, rating Superior
- Volunteered at 4-H kids' groups
- I have spent the past two years volunteering with the 4-H group Clover Kids. I have helped lead several groups activities such as animal science, microwave cooking, and how to properly set a table.
- Volunteered in four church and youth group bands
- I volunteered at two church worship teams and two youth group bands as the keyboard player. I had the opportunity to organize one group, and choose the music to be played.
- Volunteered at church summer program
- I have volunteered at my church's Vacation Bible School summer program five years in a row. I was part of a drama team, and was a leader for different age groups.
- Internship with piano teacher
- I spent several weeks with a piano teacher, co-teaching a student. It began as an internship and grew as a paid job.
