Bethany College, established by Swedish Lutheran immigrants in 1881, is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).

Located in Lindsborg, Kansas, Bethany is a small, private college that provides students personal attention within a caring community. Lindsborg is a small town with a big reputation for the arts and Swedish heritage, and we are just 20 minutes from Salina and one hour from Wichita, Kansas.

Our student body is highly engaged in learning both inside and outside the classroom. All students are encouraged to explore and deepen their own faith, as they find and follow their paths in the world.

The mission of Bethany College is to educate, develop, and challenge individuals to reach for truth and excellence as they lead lives of faith, learning and service.

(www.bethanylb.edu/news_SingersInvitedToPerformInMessiahChorus.html) The Bethany Oratorio Society in Lindsborg, Kan., has presented Handel's Messiah every year since 1882, making it the longest consecutive annual rendition in North America. World-renowned soloists perform with the Society for audiences at the college, across the plains, in Carnegie Hall, and on national television. Messiah is performed during BethanDove logo - smally College's annual Messiah Festival of the Arts, when hundreds of guests enjoy the weeklong celebration of sacred music concerts, art exhibitions, and theatre performances.
