Babson College
Babson College provides a different kind of education-where future leaders are immersed in business studies while engaging in entrepreneurial thought and action. Babson shapes leaders our world needs most: those who can envision and navigate change, understand global perspectives, and motivate teams with a common purpose to create economic and social value.
This small New England school, the nation's top ranked small business college, enrolls about 470 students each year into its freshman class, keeping the student population just under 2000. Set in beautiful Wellesley, Massachusetts, Babson's 370 acre residential campus is alive with intellectual, cultural, athletic, and social activities. About 24 percent of undergraduates are international students who represent 67 countries; students of color comprise 27 percent; and 43 percent of the Babson undergraduates are women.

- 222Hi Kristen! I believe you are asking about our freshman course Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship, or FME. FME is a year-long class that every Babson first-year student takes in which they will form groups of 30 and start and run a business for 12 weeks. The students can receive a loan of up to $3000 from the college and any profits they make are donated to local charities at the end of the year. The businesses are completely student-run, which means you have the chance to be the CEO of your own business in your first-year! I invite you to take a look at our website to learn more about FME: http://www.babson.edu/undergraduate/academics/curriculum/fme/Pages/default.aspx If you have any other questions, let us know!
- 211Yes, it seems I was asking about that. I mean I read about it in the brochures sent to me from the college but didn't really know that it referred to a class. Anyways, it sounds extremely interesting and beneficial to the career I'm working towards to. Thank you very much for the information!
- 211Although, there seems to be a problem with the link you gave me. The basic information was satisfying but when I wanted to know more about the topic, the page couldn't be found.
- 222The links seem to be working ok on our end, but we'll look into it. In the meantime, you can also check out this video to learn more about the class: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5nsqdwFg-8
