- 1248AUM offers a sequence of courses in health care administration leading to a Certificate in Health Care Administration and Policy. The purpose of the certificate program is to provide comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of the dynamics of health care administration, policy and law in contemporary American society. The program consists of four courses (offered one evening per week): •Introduction to Health Care Administration •Leadership in Health Care Administration •Seminar in Health Care Policy and Administration •Health Care and Legal Principles These courses are a part of the Master in Public Administration (MPA) degree program, but they may be taken by any person who has been admitted to a graduate program at AUM.

The road to becoming a medical examiner begins with a bachelor's degree, continues through medical school and a residency program in forensic pathology and ends with licensure and appointment. AUM prepares undergraduates for post baccalaureate and graduate studies. Students receive specialized advising, undergraduate course selection assistance and counseling services by the health science advisor beginning in their sophomore year and are provided with resources to assist them with admissions testing and in applying to schools/institutions of their choice. Additionally, pre-health sciences students are eligible for scholarships and membership in AUM’s pre health honor society.
