Hey! I am very interested in attending UArts. It is my complete dream school. I am looking to major in either Vocal Performance (Jazz/Contemporary focus) or Jazz Composition. UArts seems like the PERFECT school for my interests. Plus, I love Philadelphia.(: I live near Cincinnati, though, and am concerned about the financial aspects of attending this school. Is there a good scholarship program at UArts?

To get into a good art school for visual arts, you need to make a portfolio. Collect about 12-16 pieces total, at least 3 direct observation, 5 from a collection or concentration (common theme), a few to show progress, and at least two high quality works. Get really good digital images of these into pdf from and make a cd of it. This cd can be used as a business card for colleges to know what you're all about when you visit them. That is how you get into a visual art college, and how to get scholarships too. You have a lot of time to prepare, so get working! It's definitely worth it, I received a $40,000 from CCS of Detroit based solely on my portfolio.
