I'm a hardworking individual who puts making an impact on the world above all else. I strongly support Teach for America, which aims to "work with a great sense of urgency to build the movement to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting our nation's most promising future leaders in the effort." (teachforamerica.org) I plan on dedicating two years of my life to service with this program.
Extracurricular
- Frosh-Soph/Varsity Baseball
- Facilitate practice, maintain field, organize team events, hit, field, and play baseball (Co-Captain 1 yr)
- Musical Theatre
- Participate in school's Fall Musical every fall semester.
- Improvisational Theatre
- Perform on-the-spot theatre biweekly, study theory and logic of teamwork, stimulate laughter
- Drama Club
- Hold weekly meetings to organize fundraisers and trips to see local shows.
- Quiz Kids
- Partake in a Jeopardy-style competition team in tournaments around the Bay Area (have competed on TV)
- Knoisy Knights
- Cheer wildly as a '6th man' style squad at all basketball and football games.
- California Scholarship Federation
- An organization designed to aid people achieve CSF requirements and bolster college applications.
- Dance Ensemble
- Rehearse for and participate in dance show displaying work learned throughout the year.
- Ultimate Disc
- I co-founded the Hillsdale Ultimate Frisbee Club (Ultimate Disc) this year. Our club studies throws, rules, and strategies of Ultimate. Then, we scrimmage. The rest of the founders and I have also set up matches against our rival school.

- --Beautify campus and facilitate all school-functions by aiding teachers and parents. Current President

- In association with the local Lions' Club, perform various acts of service for the community. Current Vice-President
- Student Tutor at local mddle school
- Visit local middle school and tutor students in various mathematics
- Student Volunteer at San Mateo Police Department
- Perform various tasks as needed for staff of the Police Department, including the Assistant to the Chief of Police.
- Cosmos at UCSC
- Experience a four-week long intensive mathematics and science program at the University of California at Santa Cruz. This included living on-campus and taking classes taught by professors there.
- Boys State
- Boys State is a practical lab in political science. High school students who have just graduated their junior year are selected to spend a week creating a mock city, county, and state government. This is done after students have been split into cities and
- Internship at BATS Improv
- Internship at BATS Improv - My favorite thing to do is improvise, whether it's on stage or not. I was able to expand my improvisational knowledge by acting as a teacher's assistant at the most prestigious improvisational theatre company in San Francisco.
