Hi I'm Ali and I am a Sophomore attending Tamalpias High School in California. I've had a strong passion for music and performing arts that began at a yound age, and has become a huge identifier of who I am. I am a singer, have experience in many forms of dance(ballet, modern, ballroom, tap etc.), act, perform in musical theater, model, and am teaching myself both piano and guitar. I love school and I love learning. Yes, grades do matter, but I like to gage my education by how much I learned, but my the letters onmy report card. I aspire to be in the entertainment buisness; whether in performing arts, a solo performer or behind the scenes it has been my love for my whole life, something I doubt will ever change.
I take great pride in my heritage even though it's nothing exotic; I'm English. Where I live there is term called a "Marin Kid" reffering to those whose minds border at the edge of our county, and who have no greater problem than not having the 2012 masserati, but the 2011. I've found these individuals quite agonizing, especially because they're so abundant. But becuase my father lived in 20 countries before he settled down here in America, he has instilled in me a more worldly look on the important aspects of life. I think this skill is extremely important for someone like me, someone who has lived in the same little town she was born in her whole life. It allows for one to think of how everything globaly effects them, and how the mechanics of life really work on a larger scale. This state of mind has left me to crave adventure elsewhere in the world, to learn about the cultures of Africa, the insight and wisdom of other countries. I am taking college as my opportunity to do exactly that.
I you have any questions just ask, I love to meet new people.
Cheers
