I am a high school senior at St. James Academy. I live in Lenexa, Kansas, the former spinach capital of the world. I was born in Lawrence, Kansas, the town where basketball was invented. My father is from Tehran, Iran(population 8 million) and my mother is from Clyde, Missouri(population 80). I have one brother and three sisters. I love God and have a great interest in airplanes and airlines. I plan on being a pilot and hope to start a humanitarian airline one day.
Extracurricular
- Soccer
- I played on my high school's soccer team and made my school's sixth ever goal in their history.
- Long Distance Track
- I run the 800m, 4 x 800m, 1600m, and 3200m.
- Cross Country
- I ran 5k races. I was one of the captains my senior year.
- Debate
- I took debate class my junior and senior year, and was on the team. My senior year I helped organize a debate we hosted at our school.
- Science Olympiad
- I was on the science olympiad team my entire junior year and part of my senior year. The events I participated in junior year were: wright stuff, oceanography, rocks and minerals. My senior year I participated in egg-o-naut, ecology, and herpetology. I go

- I have been taking piano lessons since grade school. I have played in numerous recitals and two Fall Festivals, the first of which I got High Honors and second of which I got a 4- on a 4+ scale.

- I have been playing organ for about 2 1/2 years.
- Volunteered at nursing home
- I volunteered at Delmar Gardens Lenexa my freshman year. I did all kinds of things that ranged from cleaning a popcorn machine to visiting the elderly.
- Volunteered at nursing home
- I volunteered at Little Sisters of the Poor, a nursing home for low-income people, my sophomore year. I did things ranging from helping with the resident bowling game to serving residents lunch.
- Volunteered at organization that helped homeless
- I volunteered at Uplift Organization my junior year. We went out on trucks into the streets of Kansas City, Mo and served the homeless hot meals and gave them necessities like clothing and blankets.
- Volunteered at tutoring program
- I volunteered at The Upper Room, a tutoring program to help underprivileged kids improve their reading, my senior year.
- Cross Country Captain
- I was one of the Cross country team captains. I had to lead stretching sometimes and be a good example for the lower class men.
- Co-director of debate tournament
- My school hosted a debate tournament and I was the co-director. I had to schedule debate timing people to different classrooms and train them.

- I was a teacher's assistant at school. I did things that ranged from making photo copies for teachers, to tutoring a student.
