  • Eligibility:

    Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents who also belong to an underrepresented minority with an intent to study in the field of dentistry. See specific awards for further eligibility requirements.

  • Purpose:

    To award underrepresented minorities who are starting or continuing their studies in the dental field. The following scholarships are available:

    *Dr. Joseph L. Henry Scholarship: For undergraduates accepted to dental school or those entering the fields of dental hygiene or dental assisting.
    *Pre-Doctoral Scholarship: Must be 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year dental student in good standing.
    *Dr. Bessie Elizabeth Delaney Scholarship: Female applicants only, post doctoral-studies.
    *Dr. Clifton O. Dummett & Lois Doyle Dummett Scholarship: For post doctoral-studies.
    *Memorial Scholarship: Students pursuing post doctoral-studies.

It is also the parent organization of the Student National Dental Association, National Dental Hygienists Association, National Dental Assistants Association and Auxiliary National Dental Association.
