Deland High School | Class of 2008 | Deltona, Florida, USA

About me: I take my role as a student leader very seriously. Servant leadership, the concept of self sacrifice over self service, has been my life's guiding force. I've witnessed the power of true servant leadership in my life through the actions of student role models who came before me. The lessons they've taught me, ones of confidence, conviction, and humility, have shown me I too have the power to affect change in the lives of my peers. Each day I strive to be a testament not only to my generation, but to my race, my faith, and my state.

Activities: Youth in Government State Lt.Governor, Boys State Lt.Governor, Junior Statesmen of America, Senior Class President, Martin Luther King Day Committee Vice Chairman, Keepers of the Dream, Academic Team Co-Captain, National Honor Society, Conference on National Affairs, Tomorrow's Leaders, photography,

How would I move Mount Fuji: With God on my right and all of Florida on my left. These two entities have been both my greatest source of inspiration and my greatest source of strength. With them by my side I know anything is possible.

I think both participants have shown a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication to make it this far. There are a few comments about how one is lacking in a certain area, but both should be commended on how far they've excelled in their academics and personally to even make it to this round, not demeaned! Both of you, best of luck!
