Saint Mary's High School | Class of 2009 | Flushing, New York, USA

About me: Having been through a Protestant academy, public school, an elite private school, and Catholic school, lived in Tennessee and New York City, and traveled four continents, I have had many amazing opportunities to experience so many different aspects of life. As a person, I am not only a stellar student but also someone who has exceptional interpersonal skills. I understand the value of respecting others, which in turn has made me someone respected by peers, adults, and younger children. I love learning, which makes school fun. I also enjoy the adventures I have with family and friends.

Activities: YouthAction NYC, Student Council, Chamber Music, Science Olympiad, Asian Club, Senior Shepherds, Volunteer work

How would I move Mount Fuji: With just a seed of faith you can move mountains. Believe. Pray. Push.

Carrollton Christian Academy | Class of 2009 | Carrollton, Texas, USA

About me: I'm just a fun-loving, knowledgeable, friendly guy from Texas who isn't waiting to make a difference later in life. I want to make a difference now. I'm part of several activities and am in a leadership role of some sort in just about all of them. I work extremely hard in everything that I do and I will never settle for mediocrity. I've really been intentional about making myself a well-rounded person and I want to continue that in college. I know that my purpose in life is to glorify my God and I'm living life to its fullest. I am ready to change the world, so I'll start here. Why wait?

Activities: I run cross country and track and play soccer. I'm an actor who loves theater and speech competitions. I'm obsessed with mock trial and I'm in science olympiad. I'm also senior class president and a member of the leadership corps. International missions is a huge part of my life, as is my church.

How would I move Mount Fuji: A big push should do it. If not, climb it and dominate it.

Texas meets New York. I've seen Kirk rallying his people out there. Grace is operating on the DL and it's working. This is anyone's matchup.

I just realized there's an "analysis" section. I think it's hilarious, especially on some of the other matchups... What's funny about the "Texas meets New York" line is that my mom actually grew up in Queens.

Kirk is casting doubt on a competitors votes in another bracket. What are you saying Kirk? Maybe you should voice your concerns to the Zinch execs. Or maybe your not very sportsman like and slinging negative comments because you're envious? Where is the love? Cause 'the 'flavor' is bitter...
Kirk Vaclavik (Carrollton, Texas) wrote at 3/15/2008 11:20:12 AM
Wait wait wait... What?? Haha I'm not casting doubt on ANYBODY. Please point out which comment I made. I seriously have no idea what you're talking about and I'm sorry if you misunderstood anything I've said on these comments. I haven't left any 'negative comments' so I'm sorry you must have misunderstood what I said. I'm being friendly to everyone

Hey :] one of noelle's friends here! Love your passion for God, Kirk! And btw, where have you gone for missions? It's pretty awesome that you go internationally! --you've got my two votes ^__^
Kirk Vaclavik (Carrollton, Texas) wrote at 3/15/2008 12:27:30 PM
Hey thanks for the votes! I've gone on mission trips to Memphis, Montana, New Orleans, Honduras (2x), and this summer I actually get to student-lead a trip to the Dominican Republic! Have you or Noelle been able to go on any mission trips?
Grace D (Chandler, Arizona) wrote at 3/15/2008 1:33:12 PM
Awesome! Noelle and I actually just came back from Mexico a couple of days ago :] Our church went to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) and did some construction, a dental/medical clinic, and evangelized. Every summer I go up to the Hopi Reservations in AZ for missions as well. What organization do you work with? Or do you just go with your church?
Kirk Vaclavik (Carrollton, Texas) wrote at 3/15/2008 1:51:54 PM
That's awesome! I go with my church but we partner with an organization. Our youth group is huge on missions - among 5th-12th grade we have 20 trips. Most of the trips are with an organization called LeaderTreks. We are usually building orphanages along with running VBS's. A huge part of the trips is spiritual growth and leadership development.
Grace D (Chandler, Arizona) wrote at 3/15/2008 2:07:22 PM
Wow, I wish our youth group put such a large emphasis on missions..the only big one we have is our yearly Mexico trip. I wanted to go to Honduras this month w/Jericho Ministries but they had enough people going. Your Honduras missions--is it with an organization? In the future, I'd love to lead my own team on a mission trip somewhere :]
