Sunny Song ( votes)

Herricks Senior High School | Class of 2008 | New Hyde Park, New York, USA

About me: I have mastered Korean Dance for 12 years. I have learned to play the piano, flute, violin, and cello. I attended an international arts festival in Korea for second generation Koreans. I taught my peers Korean Dance. I taught Korean to other second generation Koreans like me. I won a national Korean Dance competition. I gave a free hug. I taught piano to children with disabilities. I gave my seat to an elder. I volunteered to support immigrant rights. I play the flute for my church's praise team. All this I have done, but I have yet to go to college to make an even bigger impact on the world.

Activities: Korean Traditional Dance, Co-founder and Vice President of Korean Club, Secretary of Dance Theater Club, Girl Scouts Asian Task Force of Nassau County, Flutist of church Praise Team, Korean School and Flute Teacher of my church, Christian Club,National Honor Society,National Tri-M Honor Society, etc.

How would I move Mount Fuji: As it says in the bible in Matthew 17:20-"...if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'"I would ask God to give me faith to believe that moving a huge mountain like Mt. Fuji is possible.

Hutchison School | Class of 2008 | Memphis, Tennessee, USA

About me: I've got my black belt and LOVE martial arts. My favorite color is fire red. I love listening to people's stories. I have awful luck with gold fish. I'm an avid stargazer. I can solve a rubix cube on my own. I play lacrosse (state champions!) and volleyball. I'm a picky eater. I love to travel and am really open minded about other cultures and religions. I'm a model united nations nerd. I love warm summer rain and pillow fights. I'm never shy. I'm both a night owl and a morning person. I drink more coffee than I should. I avoid the word hate. I am more than a test score, that's for sure.

Activities: Youth in Gov, Lacrosse, Tae Kwon Do, Volleyball, Multicultural Student Association, mock trial, live poets' society, French club, Mu Alpha Theta, Psi Nu Sigma, Honor Council, Crest Society (give tours to prospective families)

How would I move Mount Fuji: I'd give the Egyptians a call and take a note or two about construction and transportation(great job on the pyramids guys). Then I'd probably argue my point that Mount Fuji, relative to the solar system, is already moving. See? It was that simple!

Sunny's parents must have known she was destined for great things when they were naming her. She's been lighting it up. But I have a feeling Brittany isn't going to take this matchup lightly. She loves coffee and knows Tae Kwon Do- and I could see those two ingredients combining for something exciting. Let the games begin!

all of these asian people stick together, its ridiculous. Brittany i hope you and erica beat those two. You have my vote. Oh and by the way, voting someone because they have a sweet name? hmm you seem very intelligent. You help teach sunday school art but you base a vote on a name? Put that in your resume.

Sunny has her head straight and goes for what she wants as it looks. Maybe she lights up others lives. Brittany seems like she has the same qualities and can kick some butt with it. Congrats on the rubix cube.

Brittany...You got the answer dead on... You're one smart cookie but I'm inclined to vote for Sunny in that she's not ashamed to put her faith shining out there for all to see... Being an intellect myself I tried to out think God for a while...It don't work...I haven't voted yet.
Brittany Trimble (Memphis, Tennessee) wrote at 3/16/2008 9:45:32 PM
Hey thanks for your support everyone :) Sunny, you're great competition and seem like a really cool person. I'm still working hard to get votes though (there are still 3 days!) so all help is welcome! If anyone wants to know more about me email me at greaterthanorequalto@gmail.com, I'm happy to answer any questions!

http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/blbyol3.htm um sunny's "about me" section sounds awful familiar
Anonymous wrote at 3/17/2008 12:35:27 AM
I see absolutely nothing simliar between Sunny's "About Me" and that essay you posted. So they both end with a "I have yet to go to college," big effing deal. The sentences themselves were worded completely differently. Find something productive to do with your time rather than look for a pathetic way to denounce a wonderful person like Sunny.
Anonymous wrote at 3/17/2008 12:41:25 AM
Hm, voting for someone just because they're NOT Asian? Seems much more ridiculous to me. Oh, and you might want to read the entirety of someone's comment before you place judgement on their intelligence. Noelle did say she was kidding about the cute name thing. But I guess you missed that in your haste to whine about how Asians "stick together."
Anonymous wrote at 3/17/2008 2:57:56 AM
Hey Sunny, you look familiar. Do you go to catholic church by Parson's blvd in flushing? I was voting for Hye Jin and just happen to stop by here. You got my vote. Good luck!
Sunny Song (New Hyde Park, New York) wrote at 3/17/2008 6:18:11 AM
and to the anonymous person right above me, i don't go to the catholic church, but i think you've probably seen me because my friends go there. haha =]
