Philomath High School | Class of 2008 | Philomath, Oregon, USA

About me: My goal is to always continue improving myself. I respect any person or book, or any medium for that matter, that helps me reach my goal. The most important part of my life is my religion, but I don't like the stereotypes that go along with saying that, so I don't bring attention to it. I think any person should have a set of values that they live by, instead of making decisions depending on the situation. Human beings are too influenced by temporary emotions for that to be successful. I have specific short and long terms goals and don't expect anything less than success for my future.

Activities: volleyball, softball, Corvallis Youth Symphony, church activities and youth weekends, snowboarding, wakeboarding, reading books by Ayn Rand and any books that help me understand more about human nature, learning about autistic savants and the nervous system, hanging out with my twin, traveling

How would I move Mount Fuji: I will create a school where educators are made most effective by their use of the best information and technology. Students will be encouraged to make connections between facts in order to create new ideas. These new ideas will move mountains.Scroll down to type in security code, then click Vote Me

Johnny Fells ( votes)

Northside High School | Class of 2009 | Warner Robins, Georgia, USA

About me: "Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail," was stated by Harold Mc Alindon. My most significant purpose has been to leave a trail of success where ever I go. In science, I have been doing biotechnology research on medicinal herbs, tumor specific, and its been a hard task going to a university lab and mentoring middle school students, but I love it. Another one of my favorite activities is debate. I love the thrill felt making a stand that no one else dares to make. A stand that does not follow any other path but leads to a trail to success.

Activities: My science competitions include:Intel-affiliated fairs, Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, and the International BioGENEius Challenge. I am also a member of the National Forensic League for debate. I am Junior Class President, Vice President of Beta Club and Math Club, and FFA Treasurer.

How would I move Mount Fuji: To move Mount Fuji I would probably genetically modifiy one of my carnivorous plants to make it the size of the sun. Then I would have the plant to eat Mount Fuji and spit it away. Or I would use a simple policy debate trick and nuke Mount Fuji to ensure that it does not worry anyone ever again.

Kayleen dominated her region winning by a nice margin. She does have a twin, but no tag-teaming allowed. Though you may need it to take on Johnny- he's a trailblazer. That means, Kayleen, you can't root for the P-town's Trailblazers during next few months :)

You guys should definitely vote for Kayleen. She is a great student, is very musical and plays several instruments, plays basketball, volleyball, and softball, and is so talented. If anyone should win this competition it is Kayleen! If you look at Johnnys biography you can tell who would make better use of the collegescholarship! Vote for Kayleen H

Vote for Kayleen! She is an amazing young woman with so many different talents! She can do ANYTHING she chooses to do, and will go far! Even though Johnny has some impressive things he's done, I really appreciate Kayleen's well-roundedness.

Who every said "why vote for Johnny" should be ashamed. Why would you say such a thing, they are both very great candidates. I think either one would be perfect. However, my vote is for Johnny i know him personally and he is a great kid. Good luck Johnny!! Ebony

Kayleen is one of the most dedicated, talented, kindest, and motivated people I know. She is so talented in so many ways - music (trumpet, bassoon, piano, and voice), academics (you name it, she's got it down!), sports (softball, volleyball, and basketball), and her church. She really is going to make a difference in this world. VOTE FOR KAYLEEN!

Actually Emerson was not the official author of the quote. The quote has been used many authors if you go to this site: http://forum.quoteland.com/1/OpenTopic?a=tpc&f=099191541&m=9511969295&r=9511969295 Harold McAlindon is noted as "The Author of the Quote" just for future cases. Go Johnny!!!!

Hey this is Kayleen's twin. I might be a little biased, but at least I have an insider's opinion, and she should totally get your vote. She is very driven and determined in whatever she does. I respect her strenght and ability in so many areas. There aren't many people that have her stability of character. I love you Kayleen!

My vote is kayleen. Sure johnny is amazing kid, and he seems nice and all that, but in comparison it seems like kayleen needs more need of the 20000 and thats just an asumption, but she seems like she needs this to do her dreams, johnny is a junior and he seems like he has so many options without it. Personally i'd vote kayleen. That's it.
