About me: I have always wanted to be a musician. My experience through regularly performing, conducting, and competing in music compels me to learn more and remain determined to improve. I also am very devoted to succeeding in the academic aspect of education. After college, I want to continue education in graduate school. I will contribute what I have learned and share my experience with others. About me: My Mantra is Carpe Diem! My life embodies Seize the Day; it defines my existence. I live in the moment and cherish each day. Often, I feel too excited to sleep. I never let any opportunity pass; I never give up. My father abandoned me; my mom and nana had cancer. I overcame these obstacles by focusing on academics, tumbling, drumming, flute, and community service. My successes helped me to inspire others to fearlessly follow their dreams. I hope to go to be a pediatric oncologist, and start non-profits to promote women’s self-esteem and ameliorate the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
