Abraham Lincoln High School | Class of 2009 | San Francisco, California, USA

About me: I have a passion for English literature, education, volunteering, and both animal and human rights. I also enjoy sporadically planned picnics on green grass, writing articles for my lovely Lincoln Log (my school paper), paddling for the wonderful CYC dragon boat team, teaching kindergarten students their ABC's and 123's, reading a classic Faulkner work while drinking my famous hot chocolate/coffee/soy/peppermint drinks out of a New York Times mug on a bench by the beach I live by - to make it short and sweet, I love living. I would become a professional student if there were ever such a thing.

Activities: Journalism (The Lincoln Log), California Scholarship Federation, JROTC, Key Club, Global Citizens, Animal Welfare, SNBC S.C.R.E.A.M. film group, ExCEL afterschool program volunteer, Teacher's Academy, photography, singing horrible karaoke like there's no tomorrow, and making people laugh.

How would I move Mount Fuji: I probably don't need to do anything, as Mother Nature (Angered by global warming threats) will probably come around with some extreme heat waves (to melt the snow), a couple earthquakes and tsunamis, maybe another Pangea...And eventually, I can assume that Mt. Fuji will be moved quite a bit.

This matchup is a question of who's hungrier- the "starving student" (Mackenzie is Zinch class of '07 and currently attends a SUNY school) or the girl jumping for joy? Nice pic Colleen.

Colleen for sure! Who wouldn't want to vote for a giddy girl jumping for joy? Also, her unique view of moving Mt. Fuji is also pretty awesome

Wow - Mackenzie is fabulous!!!! A Gold AND Silver receipiant with the Girl Scouts?!!! This gal must have a great work ethic and strong values to mantain scouts, boarding and more before heading on to college. Give the girl a break and award her the money - she is sure to pay it forward with her actions, time and future gifts!!!!!

I think Colleen should win. She seems to be really passionate about everything she does. She seems to help everyone, from animals(Animal welfare), to children(teachers academy), to even the country(JROTC). She has a realistic was of moving a mountain, and it's something she can actually say will work. GO COLLEEN!

WOO COLLEEN!

Mackenzie already obviously has the money to attend the first year of college. Can the same be said of Colleen, who hasn't even gone yet? The price of college is rising, and so ultimately it'll be more expensive for Colleen, so she'll need the money more.

From their self-descriptions, I'd say Colleen gets her personality across more vividly. Isn't that what zinch is about anyways? Go Colleen! :D

mackenzie, i'm voting for you. snowboarding is bomb.
Anonymous wrote at 3/14/2008 4:29:20 PM
To the comment above, Colleen is only a junior in high school, while Mackenzie is already at college and working on a mojor. This contest is about showing your personality, and Colleen definitely shows that. Mackenzie's life is comprised of things that go towards her major, and the only anomaly is her snowboarding. Colleen is diferent. Vote for her

I LOVE Colleen's view on how to move Mt. Fuji. Also, she's so much fun with tons of personality. 2 sisters in college...yea, she needs it more too.
