My name is Devin (Carole, I go by my middle name) Kreider. I am a senior at Central Hardin High and am already accepted into my first choice - Barry University. They have given me a half-tuition scholarship for 4 years, but it is not enough.

My father will pay for some, but I have to pay for the rest. I am in desperate need of this money to pay for photography equipment. My major: Photography. It is an expensive art form, with cameras that could cost up to $6,000!

I have been trying for months now with scholarships, and would be so grateful and thankful if you vote for me. I wish to be the best I can be in my profession, and I cannot help but pray that someone will vote for me.

The thing is, school is not about what you are going there for. I am going not just for my further education in photography, but I am going to make myself a better person. To round myself out and finally discover who I truly am.

Barry University is the place I know I can be that. If I get this scholarship, I will finally be able to discover myself, along with learning of an art form that I truly adore. I am sure most of you understand what I am going through - but I have struggled through my life to keep my grades great and my behavior in school wonderful.

My GPA and SAT scores may be good - but that does not mean I already have a full scholarship. I don't. I only have what Barry has offered me. I have applied to about thirty scholarships since the end of my Junior year - and not a thing has opened up to me. I was close once, but it never happened.

So please, vote for me in this. I really hope you can help a young woman's dreams be achieved.
