is there any sophomores here that are planning to go to college in the future? do you know what will your major or minor be? what is the college that you are looking for? have you talked to your councilor yet?

Hey there! I'm a sophomore at Gilbert High in Arizona. I actually graduate next year as a junior, so there's a bit more pressure on me and I'm beginning to give myself some anxiety over all of this! Haha. I want to major in Neuropsychology. I began talking to my counselor at the very beginning of my freshman year. Communication with your counselor is very important, so make sure to visit often and start asking questions!
I hope to attend UT in Austin. It's a little "iffy" to get into, but that's where I have my eye on at the moment. :)

I'm a sophomore at Elko High School. I want to major in Neuropsychology. I have a list of colleges i want to go to, but right now i'm really looking into MIT and Columbia University. I talked to my councelor the other day because we were signing up for classes for next year, and i told him my plans and he helped me out. as far as figuring out what i wanted to major in,i looked past what makes alot of money, and started reading stuff that sounded interesting. I eventually stumbled across a book about the brain, and it stuck. Look at the classes in school that you like. Its all self-exploration crap.

I am a freshwoman. I don't even know why I am already looking for colleges. I think it's fun but I still don't know why. A few colleges have looked in my direction but a glance isn't the best thing. When I get older I plan on being an architect and some schools that have architecture as a major have contacted me. I guess that makes me happy but I still have 3 years to look forward to.

I'm a sophomore. =) I'm not sure what college I'm going to, most likely one around here. I plan on majoring in physical therapy, and probably minoring in business or something. I'm looking into a few colleges, but I've gotta admit, it's harder than I thought it would be. There's a lot to consider.

I'm a sophomore in California. I attend Oxford Academy, if you've ever heard of it.

I've talked to my counselor extensively, trying to get the most information so I can get a head start on the competition, admissions-wise. I'm eyeing Cornell University right now. Georgetown isn't looking too bad, either. I'm planning on pre-med.

At the same time, I'm trying to find a good university, like Yale for instance, that gives you two years to decide a major. I'm pretty open minded about my future; there are so many careers out there, so I shouldn't lock myself into the rest of my life just yet.

I'm a sophomore and I'm very clueless of what college I want to go to, and what major. It's just really hard sometimes when we have assignments in school and I am like the only one who doesn't know what they want to do. Nobody really helps either because I don't have the slightest clue of what I want to do. So it's good that I still have two years left of plannig right? But aren't you supposed to know what you would like to do during your senior year?

Well, I'm a sophomore, and I'm in the process of applying now. Let me explain. There's an early college in MA called Bard College at Simon's Rock, and it's especially for students who are ready to start college after their sophomore or junior year. It's fully accredited and everything. If you want to look into it, they do have a zinch page, and you can visit the website. www.simons-rock.edu

Hi =]
I am a sophomore at Trinity High School and I am interested in going to college: University of Chicago, DePaul University, Baylor University, or Harvard University. I want to major in Science (Mental Health) to become a psychiatrist. I would have to study mental health and medicine for 12 years.

I'm a sophomore at Holy Names High School in California.
I've got my sights set on Stanford or UC Berkeley, but I'm pretty much way too lazy to put the effort in to get it. I'm trying, though, I'm going to do very well in academics at least the next two years, and the second semester. I didn't do too bad in the first semester, but I didn't do great, either.
Not completely sure what I want to major in, just because I'm not sure what majors there are, and what categories they can be divided into. Something having to do with Zoology or writing.

I'm a Sophomore now at Phillips Academy Andover, a private school in New England. I am definitely looking into colleges, with the seer amount of people who are applying now-a-days it never hurts to get a head start. I want to major in either Linguistics, the study of languages, or psychology, or a combination of both. I am looking at Yale and Middlebury as my top contenders. I like Lisa's plan though, I guess you never know what you'll fall in love with your Junior or Senior year of High School. Councilors are your friends, but students can be a great help, alumni of the school a friend that goes to the school now. They got into the school, they know what the school wants. Even talking to friends of friends, I find that alumni gives more of the gritty knowledge that colleges/universities want to leave out.

I'm a Sophomore at the iSucceed Virtual High School.
I want to go the the University of Idaho for Anthropology. That way I can either work at a museum or become a forensic scientist, the two options I was trying to decided through. That way, I can pretty much wait until I'm graduated to decide! I'm going to be talking to my councilor soon. I was homeschooled for the first year of high school and my credits were not accepted, so I am having to do four years of credits in three. And U of I has specific numbers of credits that they want, so I have to talk about getting those. Unfortunately, I see a few summers doing school work ahead of me.
Then again, I could always try for Yale ;-)

Sophomore! I want to d something with ecology or conservation biology, somewhere around that ballpark. I've been crazy looking at colleges, at my school just about everyone starts looking early. I'm not exactly sure quite yet, but I really really love SUNY ESF. Just about everything about it is totally perfect for me. Apart from that, I'm pretty into College of the Atlantic & Columbia University.

Shoot, you can't edit these can you? Haha. I want to minor in Spanish... maybe. Or international studies. In taht case, I'm a pretty big fan of Northwestern University because I can major in environmental science and have an adjunct major of international studies. Hmmm hahaha. Well good thing I'm still a sophomore I suppose!

hey i'm emily and i just finished my sophomore year in high school. ill be a junior in the fall. i started looking at colleges last year just for a general idea of what this whole process would be like. i like looking for colleges but i'm trying to limit my searches to no more than 7 hours away from home. so far, my top 3 choices are Lehigh, Colgate, and Wells. I may consider a few in Vermont or New Hampshire but so far i haven't gotten around to looking at those states. as for what i'm majoring in, i'm thinking of majoring in biology. i took bio last year and i really enjoyed the class.

I'm a sophomore!
I have my whole future planned out. haha.

I want to go to California State University, Long Beach (my backup is CSU, Channel Islands), major in Biology with a focus on zoology, minor in creative writing, and after I get my bachelors, I'm going to go to WesternU to get my DVM to become a veterinarian at the Los Angeles Zoo.
